Can staff view their shifts on their phone?

Yes. Once you publish a rota in TimeTally, all assigned employees can see their upcoming shifts via the iOS app or web browser. Staff receive notifications when a new rota is published or when their shifts change, so there is no need to chase people or post photos of a paper rota.

How far in advance can I build rotas?

You can create shifts as far in advance as you like in TimeTally. Many hospitality managers build rotas two to four weeks ahead, which gives staff plenty of notice and makes it easier to accommodate holiday requests and cover arrangements.

Does the rota software work for split shifts?

Yes. Each shift has a start time, end time, and optional break. You can create multiple shifts for one employee on the same day to represent split shifts — for example, a 10am–2pm lunch service followed by a 6pm–11pm evening service.

Can managers see leave requests when building the rota?
